Welcome
The Shiloh United Methodist Church has a wonderful opportunity for growth in the days ahead. God has given us a mission field in these important and prophetic years. It is up to us to fulfill that mission. We must be mindful, however, that the church is always and everywhere a living people, gathered from the peoples of this world and on a journey through time.
The church is essentially en route, on a pilgrimage. A church which pitches its tents without looking out constantly for new horizons, which does not continually strike camp, is being untrue to its calling. The historical nature of the church is revealed by the fact that it remains the pilgrim people of God. It is essentially an interim church--in transition,based on expectation and hope--always directed towards the consummation of the world by God.
My prayer is that we'll fulfill our assigned mission in Marion County and throughout the world. That we will rise to the task before us. Therefore, I invite you to get on board, and come along and join us on our journey.
